The image below is a site plan of the Sahl Hasheesh development area. It gives an overview of the beach resort development zone where properties are being built for a range of investors. The map shows the locations of the Palm beach Piazza, Ocean Breeze and Al Andalous resorts. Also included are the commercial centres such as shopping areas, hotels and golf courses.
The Sahl Hasheesh (or Green Valley) development is more than just a single resort complex. It is a fully fledged town that combines all the facilities of a top holiday resort with the busy atmosphere of a lively port. This property development on the Red Sea will expand over an area of 32 million square metres. The development area is bordered by a sandy beach which is 12.5 kilometres long. Over 180 million euros have so far been invested in infrastructure such as roads, water pipes, earthworks and electric cables.
Sahl Hasheesh is just a 20km drive from Hurghadaâs international airport. This makes it quite convenient to get to on frequent visits. The resort community has a marina, four 18-hole golf courses, a range of bars, restaurants, hotels, sports and leisure facilities, a retail centre, and excellent diving and snorkelling facilities. This is a mega-project that marks the beginning of a new era for tourism in Egypt.
A range of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments and 3 bedroom detached villas are currently available. There are at present 500 units, and the resort will eventually expand to include a selection of palatial 6 and 7 bedroom properties. The general completion of the development is planned for 2007.
